🥰 How do you look after yourself?
🥰 Are you kind too your mind and body?
🥰 Are you pouring from an empty cup?
And now for a little bit of self-care – because we all need to make sure that we are looking after ourselves and keeping ourselves propped up, happy, and excited about life; because life is difficult. Life can wear you down if you are not careful about how you are feeding your soul.
So how are you feeding your soul? And what are you doing to make yourself happy? How do you look after yourself?
You can do this however you want, whatever works best for you. It may be ensuring you get enough sleep, or that you are getting enough exercise, spending time with your friends, listening to audiobooks, having time at the spa or getting a massage or making sure you build in time to meditate into your daily routine.
Whatever it is that you need to make yourself happy, go on and do it.
And if you’re not doing it, why not? What is holding you back from prioritising yourself? Maybe you feel like you need to prioritise everybody else over and above yourself? Maybe you are a wife, a mother, a carer and your needs are simply ‘not as important’ as everyone else’s. Probably by the end of the day you’re exhausted and don’t have the energy to be thinking about doing anything to care for yourself.. But you need to be looking after yourself.
It’s very difficult if you have young children, I get it … I’m there with you. But if you’re not looking after yourself, then you are pouring from an empty cup. When you make the time to give yourself a bit of down time, a bit of ‘me-time’, you come back energised, full of life, happier, more engaged and more willing.
That’s the beauty of self care.. its not about being selfish, it’s about being the full-ticket and feeling good about life.. because when you feel good about life, everybody benefits.
