I have worked in a social work capacity for many years with complex families and have gained great knowledge and understanding of a variety of difficulties that individuals, couples and families face. I have significant experience of working with family dysfunction, divorce, substance abuse, mental health difficulties, anxiety and depression, criminality, domestic violence, financial difficulties, relationship difficulties.
When I qualified as a counsellor, I did it because I wanted to be more aligned to my personal values of helping and supporting people; giving them the support they need to make the changes they feel necessary to make their lives better. However, whilst this was in many ways more enabling than social work, it still felt rather constrained. Rightly, there are significant guidelines and frameworks that all therapists need to work within and these are there for very good reason. However, as a Coach, I am able to be more involved in supporting change – helping, advising, creating positive habits and holding you along the way.
The most important thing for you to know about me is that I LOVE my job. I love being able to work creatively and with meaning and purpose. I love that you are willing to make the changes, take advice, be proactive and motivated to change your life and make it the best it can be. Together we will do great thing!! Just wait and see!!
